  1. Don’t fall apart. I was given 18 months…..it’s been ten years…….
  2. Be your own advocate.  Seek out information – information is power!
  3. Go to the BEST doctors and medical facilities you can find!
  4. Get a SECOND opinion or third….until you are satisfied.
  5. Don’t stop after western medicine…try everything that won’t make you worse. Throw it all up on the ceiling and see what sticks.
  6. But don’t waste your time staring at the ceiling and waiting for things to fall. If they do you will know. Instead,
  7. Have a purpose or a passion.
  8. Help others who are less fortunate than you if you are able.
  9. If you have people to lean on, lean on them. Love them!                   If you don’t, find them. Love them!
  10. Find humor in everything you can and try to…laugh!
